मयूर विहार में शादी करने से इनकार करने पर एक युवती ने युवक पर तेजाब फेंक दिया। इस हमले में युवक बुरी तरह से झुलस गया। उसे निजी अस्पताल में दाखिल करवाया गया है। जहां उसकी हालत नाजुक बनी हुई है। युवक आईसीयू में दाखिल है। युवक की बुआ ने आरोपित युवती के खिलाफ थाने में शिकायत दी है। पुलिस ने इस संबंध में विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज किया है। कासंडा कासंडी हाल में मयूर विहार निवासी अनीता ने बताया कि उसके भाई-भाभी को मृत्यु हो चुकी है। उसका भतीजा श्याम उसके पास रहता है। वह निजी कंपनी में काम करता है।

अनिता ने बताया कि अंजली ने बहाने से बुधवार शाम को श्याम को घर से बाहर बुलाया। इसके बाद उस पर फिर शादी का दबाव डाला। युवक ने इनकार किया तो युवती ने उसके ऊपर तेजाब फेंक दिया और मौके से फरार हो गई। तेजाब हमले के दौरान युवती चीख चीख कर कह रही थी कि तू मेरा नहीं हो सका तो जिंदगी में किसी और का भी नहीं होने दूंगी। युवक ने तेजाब हमले की जानकारी फोन कर अपनी बुआ को दी तो परिजन गाड़ी लेकर पहुंचे और उसे एक निजी अस्पताल में दाखिल कराया।
